The Babymoon in Brown County

So I've been reading all of the baby books and magazines, and quite a few of them recommended a "babymoon" getaway. I thought it sounded like a great idea, and quickly convinced Andy we should plan a weekend trip somewhere. With as big as I'm getting and as tired as I feel these days, I knew a trip involving an airplane was not exactly in the cards. So Andy had the idea of driving down to Nashville, Indiana and staying in a bed and breakfast. (I was extremely impressed with this idea that he came up with all on his own!)

We headed south on Sunday morning, and arrived in Nashville to browse the many antique shops and galleries just before noon. The picture above is of the bed and breakfast we stayed in, the Cornerstone Inn. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a weekend getaway. The room was amazing and the breakfast and snacks were delicious. It is also located in downtown Nashville, which means you can walk to the shops, shows and restaurants. After lunching at the Inn across the street and visiting many of the shops downtown, we resorted back to the air-conditioned room for awhile to relax. Andy enjoyed a Law & Order marathon on TV while I took a soak in the hot tub sized whirl pool. Later that night we went to dinner at Holy Cow steakhouse, and then woke up in the morning to the breakfast downstairs, made a brief stop at the Edinburgh outlets, and then headed home. It was the perfect trip and very relaxing! Just the rest we needed to prepare for the arrival of our little one! :)

Aboard the Nashville Train taking a little tour.

The gigantic tub in the room.
How cool is this room?? And how big am I?? :)

After our steak dinner. It was so hot outside!
