Back to Work

So I made it through my first week back to work. I think I had mentally prepared myself for how terrible it would be to leave Charlie, so I think I handled everything relatively well. The hardest part is getting used to going from spending every minute with him to basically 2 1/2 hours a day. I get off work at 4:30pm, but by the time I make it through traffic and up to daycare in Cicero, it is just past 5pm. And our bedtime routine starts about 7:30pm and he's in bed by 8. So poor Andy hasn't got much time with him this week because I haven't put Charlie down between the hours of 5 and 8pm!! Luckily, this weekend we didn't have any big plans so I was able to cuddle with Charlie all weekend long! Hoping this working mom thing gets easier...
Taking a quick picture just before mama left for work. And yes, that is spit up coming from Charlie's mouth!

Charlie time on Monday after work...

I never get tired of snapping pictures. Charlie is only 3 months old and he's already over it!

He's just discovered his little hands...

Belly time...not his favorite!

His daddy dressed him for school this morning :)

A great example of me not putting him down after work.

Snuggling with his DaDa Saturday morning!

Ready for his visit with his cousin, Ivy.

Awh Ma, another picture!?

That's ok... I love you anyway!

Alot!

Charlie turned 3 months old my first day back to work. Here he is dressed up in his outfit from the Knotts!

1 year wedding anniversary

Andy and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary this past weekend. My parents took Charlie for the night and we went to dinner at Cooper's Hawk winery and restaurant on Saturday night. For those that haven't been, I would highly recommend it! We both ordered steak and the wedge salad and it was SO good. We had planned to go to a movie afterwards, but this girl indulged in a little too much wine as well as the complimentary glass of champagne they brought to us. So instead we went over to a friend's house to continue the celebration. :) Here are a few photos of our dinner...

Viruses viruses everywhere!

Little Charlie starts school Monday when Mommy goes back to work. Somehow it makes me feel better if I call it school instead of daycare...so that is what I'm going with. He has been sick twice since he was born, which makes me think maybe God is trying to build up his little immune system to prepare him for "school". Well I hope it works! The Weaver household has had a really rough week as we've all been battling bad colds. No fevers or ear infections, though, so all we can do is wait it out. Charlie's pediatrician did prescribe a nebulizer treatment to help open up his bronchial tubes because he's been coughing so bad he's wheezing. :( Here are a few pictures of his first treatment....
Doesn't this one just break your heart?!

Let's hope this works...

Smiling through it :)
This morning I'm soaking up every moment with Charlie because my parents will be here in a few hours to pick him up. He will be spending the night with Mimi and Mumpy so Andy and I can celebrate our 1 year anniversary tonight. We had big plans to stay downtown, shop, and go to the Colts game tomorrow. Unfortunately, these colds we all have changed the plan a bit. So instead, we will be dining out tonight on the north side of Indy and maybe going to see a movie. BIG TIME! ha. How things have changed in just one short year. :) But definitely for the better. Happy Anniversary, honey!

Alabama Getaway

Huntsville Street Festival
Andy, Charlie, and I traveled to Huntsville, AL last week to visit Andy's brother and his family. Believe it or not, Charlie did amazing on the 8 hour drive down and 8 hour drive back! He slept almost the entire way. We stopped at Cracker Barrel about half way and fed him and played with him before hitting the road again. Andy's nieces are really into dance and they were performing at the street festival in town. So we were able to see them dance and shop at all of the antique stores and craft booths set up along the street. Ella is 7 and Macy is 5 and they are IN LOVE with Charlie. I don't know what he will do without all the attention. Here are a few more pictures from our trip!

It is a shame they don't like Charlie :)

Macy wanted to burp Charlie so I let her give it a try!

Charlie looks absolutely enormous in this picture! Getting so big!
